Hamoud, 1, and his 4-month-old sister, Zara, from Deir Ez Zour in Syria, wait with their family inside a registration centre for migrants and refugees in Preševo, in southern Serbia, on October 5, 2015. After registering, the refugees here are given a 72-hour permit to travel onwards through Serbia to Croatia. Their family fled Syria after Isis took over their village. They entered Europe by boat. The 7 meter long inflatable had 35 people in and took 6 hours to reach Greece, during which the mother fell unconscious.
Their father said" If you don't join Isis they'll kill you. Everyday you see someone being hung."
