Joman Khalaf, 6, is photographed in Kapartu IDP camp near Duhok, in Iraqi Kurdistan, on June 6th, 2017. Joman, a Yazidi originally from Sinjar, was captured by Islamic State fighters when they stormed the city in August 2014. She was sold to an ISIL fighter, living as his family's slave until she was sold back to her family last August. She now lives in her cousin's tent with her brothers, who were also sold back to their family. Her parents are still unaccounted for.
